What A Guy Wants: Fashionable Combinations

Here’s some food for thought:
I recently read  an article in Cosmo titled “101 THINGS ABOUT MEN.” In the article there was an excerpt explaining “The Combo That Dudes Can’t Resist.” Cosmo asked guys to rate women 1-10 based on the following combinations and these are the scores:

1. SKINNY JEANS AND A BEER: 10
2. A little black dress and a martini: 8
3. A miniskirt and a seabreeze: 8
4. A pencil skirt and a whiskey: 7
5. A tube top and a margarita: 5

Surprised? I had to say I was a little. But don’t fret fashionistas… I got the scoop and already have an outfit picked out for you! After asking some of my guy friends what they believe is the most flattering outfit, this is my conclusion for you to try sometime this weekend if you would like: cute black flowy tank, lighter jeans, strappy black heels, and most importantly, accessories that are big, bold, bright, and fun.

What a Guy Wants:White!

The sun is coming out, our skin is looking more bronzed– you know what that means: time to break out the summer whites! Wearing white makes you feel girly, pretty and most of all confident. What do guys want? Confidence certainly cannot hurt. Not to mention that white lace and flattering flowy skirts are flattering to any guy as well.

So go dig your white sundresses from the depths of your closet and add a few new white tops to your wardrobe. Don’t be afraid to wear all white as well. Its summery, cute and flattering on everyone! Happy warm weather, Fashionistas!

What a Guy Wants: St. Patrick’s Day Inspired

In honor of Saint Patrick’s Day I asked my friend Tony, 21 year-old college student, what he would like to see girls wear out when celebrating this Irish holiday. He described playing up the festive aspect of Saint Patrick’s Day by incorporating green into your outfit. Here are some ideas of what Tony would like to see:

 

First invest in a cute green shirt that Tony would like to show a little skin, but nothing too revealing. He appreciates girls who get festive with a little shamrock temporary tattoo on their check or a green hair accessory like a bow.  According to Tony, “accessories can be a plus if utilized right”, which is very true!

Even though Saint Patrick’s day is a great day to theme your outfit, make sure you do not overload on the green! Keep it simple, keep it festive and enjoy your Saint Patrick’s Day!

What a Guy Wants: Spring Break Edition

Wondering what a guy would like to see a lovely college-aged lady out and about in a tropical locale? When asking 22 year old college senior, Brandon, what he would want a girl to wear on spring break, he came up with something like this:

He said that for day time he’d like to see her in a bikini on the beach and as a cover up, a laid back, loose fitting shirt with denim cut off shorts.

As for the night goes, he said he’d like to see a tight, short skirt and a “revealing” top, however, nothing too scandalous. He also noted that he’d appreciate some high heels to complete the outfit.

So wherever you are headed for spring break, keep these tips in mind if you are looking to make an impression! For all the students headed for spring break, have lots of fun and stay safe!
