Bargain of the week: J.Crew Factory

If I were to pick one brand of clothing that represents the majority of my closet, hands down it would be J.Crew. I can always count on creating a fresh and put together outfit from my J.Crew wardrobe. But having a J.Crew addiction can come with an expensive price tag for college fashionistas.

That’s why this week’s bargain of the week is the J.Crew Factory! The company launched this online factory store, opened only during the weekends, to appeal to shoppers like college students. J.Crew designed clothing exclusively for its online factory store, which features lower prices, frequent sales and free shipping deals. What more could you ask for?!

So if you are J.Crew lover like me and love to find great deals, go to the online J.Crew Factory Store this weekend (open Friday 12 am till Sunday at midnight). Fill your shopping cart with the amazing bargains and tell us what you think!

Happy shopping!

Bargain of the Week: Target vs. Jack Rogers

Bargain of the Week!

With sandal season almost in full force, it is time to once again assess your sandal collection and restock for the season. I have been a long time fan of Jack Rogers classic navajo sandal. The style has become very iconic and popular for many years; notably because Jackie Onassis had several pairs. The sandal is part preppy with a little bit of a bohemian twist. Being on a college budget may prohibit you from having an extensive collection of these pretty sandals because at $98 a pair the expense can add up quickly. Look no further to Target.com. They have a look-a-like called “Enid Whipstitch” that looks almost identical to the Jack Roger version. For $19.99 you can buy every color they offer and still have money to spare.

I’ve been a fan of Target’s version since they came out with them last year. I own a brown pair and the platinum pair and just placed another order for the pink pair and the white pair! They aren’t real leather like Jack Rogers but they will definitely last you a season. The best color is platinum because they match with anything under the sun and you can dress them up or down!  Next time you’re at Target, keep your eyes peeled for this iconic shoe!

Happy Shopping!

XOXO,

Ruche

After doing some online retail therapy, I’ve become obsessed with one site in particular that I must share with you! Ruche is their name and and modern boutique with a vintage touch is their style. I find myself checking their site every other day to see what new styles they add or bring back in their “back in stock” section. From tops to shoes to office and home they cover all the bases with a unique style.

I fell in love with this dress, vanity fair corset dress, and knew it must find its way into my closet! The sweetheart neckline of the black lace corset is very flattering and the removable black elastic belt with rhinestones gives the dress a little edge. My favorite part has to be the pink-champagne skirt of the dress because of the tulle…it reminds me of wearing a tutu!

So next time you’re looking for a online shopping site look no further! Ruche is reasonably priced and has great customer service…I recently asked a question about one of their items and I received a response within 24 hours!

Hope you fall in love with Ruche just as I have!

Manicure for Less

Credit

Being a college student, budgeting in “manicure money” is not always your top priority. This is an issue, especially for myself because I always like to have my nails done. I feel as though you look so much more put together when you have painted nails. So when you don’t have enough funds to hit the salon, no worries! Enter the $7 Target purchase I made the other day: Kiss Everlasting French. It may be the best $7 I’ve ever spent.

When you think of “fake nails”, it may bring you back to your childhood when you and your girlfriends would play dress up, however these nails are the real deal. I have used them too many times to count and for all different occasions from sorority formals to the beach. I would definitely recommend the Kiss brand because I have tried other brands but they haven’t stayed on as long or stayed as pretty as the Kiss brand. I also get the “real short” length because I find it really hard to work out or text or type when I have nails that are any longer. Another great thing about these nails is that they are so quick to apply. Getting tips at a salon takes a long time and you have to have the time to set aside for the appointment; with these nails, it takes me about 10 minutes to apply them and it looks like I spent an hour in the salon. Not to mention I saved a good $25.

So next time you think a manicure is not within your budget or you don’t have the time to spend at the salon, head to Target and pick this up!
